These delicious energy balls are a great source of protein and will fill you up between meals if you have any cravings. They make a great alternative to a chocolate bar and are packed full of nutrients. The pumpkin seeds add a kick of copper, which is also essential for us. The turmeric is an anti-inflammatory and especially helpful after a long gym session to prevent the lactic acid from building up. Try rolling them in desiccated coconut instead of pumpkin seed dust if you fancy a little variation.


  • 70 g pumpkin seeds
  • 20 g puffed rice
  • 50 g whole almonds
  • 80 g medjool dates destoned
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 Tbsp honey


  1. Place 40g of the pumpkin seeds in the mixing bowl and blitz 5 Sec. / Speed 10. Remove and spread on a large plate.

  2. Place all the remaining ingredients in the mixing bowl and blend 30 Sec. / Speed 8 until you have a very smooth paste.

  3. With wet hands, remove the dough and form into 24 balls. Roll them in the pumpkin seed dust and place on a separate plate. They will be good for two weeks!
