Thermomix Ham and Cheese Sliders
These Ham and Cheese Sliders are the perfect dinner for the whole family. Prepare them using your Thermomix for the footie or big game night and make everyone happy.
This recipe is an all time favourite. It is not exactly healthy but really works when you have to feed a large crowd. You can prepare your own bread rolls beforehand and I have given you some options which you can try. My favourite bread rolls are in Practice Mix Perfect and if you are lucky enough to have the book, search for the easy dinner rolls. If not, go get it...It is totally worth it.
If you want to cut down on the sugar, you could try adding honey instead or maple syrup to make it even tastier. I have even made a few with Pastrami and they were delicious. You can also freeze them before adding the drizzle and unpack whenever you need them for a larger crowd. These are the best ham and cheese sliders ever.
Ham and Cheese Sliders
- 9 dinner rolls or brioche buns or gluten free bread rolls
- 9 slices ham
- 9 slices emmental cheese
For the drizzle
- 2 garlic cloves
- 100 g butter
- 30 g raw cane sugar
- 20 g Worcestershire sauce
- 20 g American mustard
- 1 Tbsp poppy seeds
- Preheat the oven to 200°C / 180°C Fan / Gas Mark 6. Line a deep rectangular oven tray with greaseproof paper.
- Cut open the dinner rolls and place the bottom halves in the prepared tray.
- Rip each cheese and ham slice apart to make a few mini slices. Top each bread roll with half the cheese slices, followed by half the ham slices, followed by the other half of the cheese slices and the other half of the ham slices. It should be a nice stack. Place the other half of the dinner rolls on top.
- To make the drizzle, place the garlic clove in the mixing bowl. Blitz 2 Sec. / Speed 7. Scrape down. Add the butter, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, American mustard and poppy seeds and melt 5 Min. / 60°C / Speed 1. Pour the mixture over the prepared buns and cover tightly with foil.
Bake in the oven for 25 minutes, then remove the foil cover and bake uncovered for a further 5 minutes. Serve hot immediately. Enjoy!
