Cauliflower Rice | Sophia's Kitchen

Cauliflower Rice is the ultimate low-carb addition to any meal. It’s not only totally delicious and much quicker to prepare than regular white rice, it is just so easy to make in your Thermomix.

Start with a whole head of cauliflower. Cut into florets, and give them a quick rinse. Pop the cauliflower florets into the Thermomix mixing bowl and blitz for 10 Sec / Speed 4 / Reverse. Having the blade on reverse ensures you won’t end up with super-fine grains, instead your rice will be beautiful, fluffy and consistent. If you prefer your Cauliflower Rice to be finer, blitz again in 5 second intervals until your preferred consistency.

To cook it, tip your cauliflower rice into the Varoma tray. Pour enough water into the mixing bowl to cover the blades, place the Varoma, and cook for 12 Min / Speed 3 / Varoma. Serve hot, garnished with coriander.

And you’ve just made Cauliflower Rice! It’s that easy. I love it served with a beautiful saucy curry, or stirred through a delicious stir fry. Yum!

    How do I put the blades on reverse? You would think this would come with the directions, but I have not been able to find anywhere that it is addressed. Thanks

      On the TM5 it is simply a press of the reverse arrow button on the bottom display, on the TM6 you will find it on the Speed dial and on the TM31 is is a button that you need to press.
