This super easy Thermomix wholemeal pizza recipe is the perfect dinner for two. You can make the dough with plain flour or spelt flour as well. Delicious. Pizza night is my favourite night of the week. We are so quick to just pick up the phone and get a takeaway pizza at our favourite Italian but really if you want the real tasty pizza flavour, read on. When I was younger, my dad used to make pizza every week. He used to take out this very large tupperware to prepare the dough and leave it to rise. We still actually have it at home but it is no longer in use. The whole family gathered for pizza night and everyone got their own space for the topping of their choice. I personally loved mushrooms, ham and onions on my pizza but everyone had their own favourite ingredients. My dad was always so proud of his pizzas he told me, there is nothing better than homemade pizza. If you are craving pizza but don't fancy a white plain dough and you want to take it up a notch to make it a romantic dinner, try this version. Thermomix wholemeal pizza is absolutely fantastic. The dough is richer and full of flavour and the heart shape really does it for me, especially around Valentine's day. You can create the pizza the morning before and only bake half of it and finish off in the evening. Surprise your loved one with their favourite topping and make it a romantic Italian meal at home. The trick to make the heart shapes equal is to take a piece of A4 paper and fold it in half with the short end. Then cut out half a heart shape towards the folded middle. Unfold and you have a whole heart. Place it on the Thermomix wholemeal pizza dough and cut it out. If you fancy normal plain flour, simply use 250g of it instead of the wholemeal flour. Should your dough feel a little sticky, add a little flour, but be careful not to add too much, otherwise it will be dense. What's your favourite topping for pizza? wholemeal pizza:

  • 1 sachet dry active yeast 1 Tbsp
  • 160 g lukewarm water
  • 270 g wholemeal flour
  • 5 g salt
  • 10 g olive oil


  • 100 g tomato passata
  • 1 red orange or yellow pepper
  • 3 mushrooms
  • 1 courgette
  • handful of grated cheese or vegan cheese


  1. Add water and yeast to the mixing bowl and combine 1 Min. / Speed 2.
  2. If you do not have a Thermomix, add yeast and water to a small mixing bowl and stir until combined.
  3. Add flour, olive oil and salt (in this order!) to the mixing bowl and knead 2 Min. /.
  4. If you do not have a Thermomix, put the yeast-water mixture into a large mixing bowl. Add the flour, olive oil and salt (in this order!) and knead until you have a smooth dough. This may take up to 10 minutes.
  5. Remove from the mixing bowl, place in a bowl and cover with a tea towel. Leave to rise for one hour.
  6. Once risen, take the dough out of the bowl and place it onto a floured surface.
  7. Preheat your oven to 250°C.
  8. Prepare three round pizza trays or oven trays by lining them with greaseproof paper or oiling them.
  9. Using a dough cutter, divide the dough into three equal pieces. Roll each piece out to fit the trays. Cut out heart shapes and place on the prepared trays.
  10. Chop the vegetables in small pieces and start assembling the pizza. First, lightly spoon over some tomato pasta, followed by the cheese and the vegetables. Finish off with a bit more cheese.
  11. Leave the pizzas uncovered for another 10 minutes, then bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes until deep golden brown. Remove from the oven and enjoy!
