Chocolate Custard
Chocolate custard is my childhood favourite. I vividly remember every time I wanted to have chocolate custard and mum had to make it for me no matter what time of the day. If you like your custard a little sweeter, you could add a little extra sugar or use milk chocolate instead of dark chocolate. For a little thinner custard which is almost like sauce, simply halve the amount of cornflour. This Thermomix recipe is super simple to prepare and you can keep the custard warm if you store it in a Thermi Servebowl. This will also prevent it from forming a skin if you store it with the airtight silicone lid.
Ingredients
- 60 g dark chocolate in small chunks
- 500 g whole milk
- 1 large egg
- 20 g coconut sugar or caster sugar
- 40 g cornflour
Instructions
-
Place the chocolate in the mixing bowl. Chop 10 Sec. / Speed 8.
-
Add the milk, egg, coconut sugar and cornflour and cook 8 Min. / 100C / Speed 4.
-
Serve immediately or store in a Thermi Servebowl until serving.

Delicious!! I used half milk/dark chocolate as that’s all I had. Everyone loved it. Will definitely make again. Thanks for the great recipe.
